Meet the Owners
WOLF + MARIKE
When the first lockdown hit in March 2020 we sat around the kitchen table every night after we put our little WolfCub to bed and wondered how we would survive this fresh new hell we found ourselves in.
We already own a gorgeous salon which had just been relocated to her new mothership location. The timing couldn’t have been any worse. Overheads were killing us from the day we had to shut its doors as the whole world was being hit by a tornado of shitshows.
Since the start, we both refused to be part of the statistics of businesses that had to close during the 2020 Covid pandemic.
In that moment we realised that the only thing for us to do is to open another business. One to bring more people to our salon (which is next door to the bar by the way ☺️). One that welcomes people home to have coffee and indulgent treats, great beers, chats and glasses of wine.
Wolfy’s Bar was named after our lil’ cub Wolfie. Everything we do as expats in London we do for our son—to give him opportunities and allow him to dream and take chances.
It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, it’s what we do consistently, passionately and without flinching. — so here’s to our next journey around the sun. You can always sit with us.
